Make Your Own Toys…
When I was a child, making your own toys involved lots of wood, nails, bike wheels, rope, sore knees, cut hands and bruises, lots and lots of bruises!!!
That was then, this is now. Mattel and Autodesk are teaming up together to bring making your own toys to a whole new level!
According to their press release “An upcoming series of apps will empower consumers to imagine, design and customize their own toys, and help to make the toys real through 3D printing.”
Now, maybe it’s just the kid in me (or the fact that I never really grew up), but that just sounds AWESOME!
I’ll be checking out these apps when they get released. Who knows, maybe there will finally be an eagle eye, fuzzy hair, grippy hand CAD Monkey action figure!
Check out the full press release here.

Loved up…
So it seems that Graebert, those nice people behind the CAD engine that Draftsight uses, are teaming up with new kids on the block, Onshape.
Onshape plan to integrate cloud-based CAD technology from Graebert directly into the recently announced Onshape Cloud CAD.
You can read more about it here.
